Studio Sculpt is an all inclusive fitness boutique. Meaning, we provide all the exercise equipment you need in order to take the class except grippy socks and a yoga towel for our heated classes.
Grippy socks are required for our Barre and Reformer Pilates class to ensure that you are stable during class. If you do not own grippy socks, we sell some at our studio so no need to worry.
For our heated class, we do require that clients use a towel on top of their yoga mats. This can be a yoga towel or a beach towel. If you do not have one, we do sell them at our studio as well.
We highly recommend that you bring a water bottle in order to stay hydrated, especially in our “hot”/heated classes.

Mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates are two types of Pilates that mainly differ in the equipment used.
Mat Pilates is done on a padded mat without machines and uses body weight for resistance, often including props like bands, small balls, or weights. It emphasizes core strength, flexibility, and body control, with exercises that can be adjusted for different skill levels. This style helps improve balance and stability.
Reformer Pilates uses a reformer machine with a sliding platform and adjustable springs for varying resistance. It allows for greater movement and provides support, making stretches deeper and muscle engagement more effective. Reformer Pilates can also assist in rehabilitation and offers varied exercises that target different muscle groups at once.
In short, Mat Pilates focuses on body-weight exercises on the floor, while Reformer Pilates involves machine-assisted workouts that provide more resistance and variety. Both promote core strength and flexibility but cater to different preferences and fitness goals.

Low impact high intensity workouts effectively achieve fitness goals while minimizing injury risk. They elevate heart rates and burn calories with less strain on joints, making them accessible for various fitness levels.
One significant advantage of low impact high intensity workouts is their accessibility. Individuals of various fitness levels can participate without the fear of exacerbating pre-existing injuries or experiencing discomfort, making them suitable for a broader audience.
Another benefit is the efficiency of these workouts. Engaging in high intensity intervals allows participants to achieve significant results in a shorter time frame compared to traditional workouts. This makes them ideal for those with busy schedules who still want to maintain a consistent fitness regimen.
Furthermore, low impact options help in sustaining long-term workout adherence. With less impact on the body, participants may experience greater overall enjoyment and motivation, reducing the likelihood of burnout or withdrawal from exercise routines.
Incorporating low impact high intensity exercises can also contribute to weight management and overall health improvements, as they advance functional strength, core stability, and flexibility without the wear and tear associated with high impact training.

To see a noticeable difference in strength, flexibility, and overall fitness, clients should aim for a minimum of 8 to 12 classes per month. This translates to about 2 to 3 classes per week. Consistency is key, as regular attendance allows for progressive improvements and helps in developing a routine. Additionally, combining various class types, such as Pilates and Barre, can enhance results by targeting different muscle groups and providing a well-rounded fitness experience. For optimal benefits, clients are encouraged to listen to their bodies and adjust their schedules as necessary.
